I did not have a positive experience with Dr. Shafer during an involuntary psychiatric hospitalization.I felt that important information I provided was not considered, & that part's of my medical record did not accurately reflect my perspective or the information I attempted to share.In my interactions with him, I felt dismissed, misunderstood, & excluded from meaningful discussions about my own care. The experience left me feeling unsupported & unbelieved during an already vulnerable time.While others may have different experiences, I personally would not seek care from Dr. Shafer again.
