I was being seen for a right colectomy to remove a spot of colon cancer. During my visit she took the time to explain the procedure and answer all of our questions . leaving my wife and I feeling confident that I was in the best hands possible to achieve a great outcome. This was very important for someone that has PTSD and Hospital anxiety. Because of this i was able to walk into surgery and the expected inpatient days relaxed and with reduced stress. Any questions that were asked using mychart where answered quickly and explained will. The in hospital follow up care was next level and even when I was over thinking about bleeding (normal) she took the time to explain the test results and why there was no reason to continue worrying and she was right. My recovery (4day) has been unremarkable and above expectations and almost pain free.
