He prefers a meeting over seeing patients. No matter how much pain you're in, no matter how long you've waited to get the appointment, just puts you at the end of the line. He doesn't care enough to see patients, but he doesn't even care enough to see you in person.

I cannot stress enough how fortunate I am to have met Dr. Clifton. I was able to make an appointment with his office roughly a year after a failed laminectomy with another neurosurgeon in my home city (who had subsequently declined any further involvement). My hope at that point was that Dr. Clifton would revisit the prior procedure site and correct what was needed. That would have been best case in my view, with worst case being a disk fusion. Fortunately for me, he very quickly suspected and confirmed a completely different cause for the symptoms than had been previously considered. This not only circumvented a second unnecessary spinal surgery but pointed the direction to the actual cause of the problem, which would hopefully prevent further degeneration that would have occurred going forward. My highest compliments, respect and gratitude to Dr. Clifton.
