Patient Experience & Satisfaction

How likely are you to recommend Dr. Douoguih?
The early consults were very positive and very much 'this procedure will fix you right up'. No discussion of potential risks and possibility that the procedure (knee HTO) would not fix my condition. Also, I was not educated on how severe this procedure would be (I had to learn it on my own). I went back after 6 months complaining that my pain was worse than before my surgery; he stated, 'Well, you're a big guy, and it can collapse.' Then he recommended removing my hardware, which contradicted his statement that removal of the hardware isn't an option in my pre-op consults. I went through with 2nd procedure, and my post-op follow-up was rushed, virtual, and very 'matter of fact' that I needed a partial or total knee replacement. It lasted approx. 15 min or so. In summary, his confidence oversold me on the outcome of a very complex and risky procedure. Felt as though I was 'sold' and then tossed aside after the surgery was done.
