Dr. Walter Jungbauer Jr, MD

Dr. Jungbauer was the plastics resident on call the night my son was bitten by our family dog. It was ugly, and my son was very shaken by the incident and the appearance of his face. Dr. Jungbauer exhibited so much compassion, empathy, concern and gave it to my kiddo straight. The fix was going to hurt, but he'd take his time and make sure he got the best outcome. The circumstances of the bite, location and loss of tissue was challenging. He made provisions to allow new tissue to grow while healing. We wrapped up, we were preparing for discharge when he came back and said he wanted to take another look. He said he wanted to make some adjustments, wasn't happy with the 'provisions'. He went back to work and after 30 mins he was finally satisfied. The result/outcome was incredible. He took the time, in the middle of the night to achieve perfection. We couldn't be more grateful, and after a week, his face is looking like nothing every happened. Dr. Jungbauer is our hero!
