Dr. Valerie Parker, MD

I saw Parker for 2 pregnancies and it was the same both times. I never waited less than hour to see her for scheduled appointments. The first time and felt terrible all the time. I voiced my problems and she brushed them off and said “it’s just pregnancy.” I ended up having an emergency induction a month early because I actually had preeclampsia. I almost died a couple times during delivery, but she only came in the room 5 minutes before the baby was delivered. The second time I didn’t have the same issues and things went well with the pregnancy, but when my due date approached she was on a 6 week vacation and said I had to induce on a certain date after she was back. She didn’t schedule my induction, and the baby came on his own the day before she was back. She didn’t even visit me in my room during her rounds and told the nurse to tell me “she’s fine.” I’ve never felt more like a number in one of the most terrifying and traumatic times in my life.
