Patient Experience & Satisfaction

How likely are you to recommend Dr. Proothi?
The scariest time of my life, was when I was diagnosed with cancer. While Dr Proothi did order my chemo to treat the cancer, he lacked any concern for treating the patient. During treatments I was very sick. My experience with him has been he lacks compassion and poor bedside manner. He never treated for symptoms or addressed labs. All he did was order chemo meds. He has always made me feel like I was a bother. When I had a serious complication he told me to go to an urgent care who would not treat me because of concern regarding if meds were compatible with my treatments. Even now, he will not address my concerns telling me to see my surgeon that he is not treating me anymore. Funny I have appointments with you every 6 months. Then I guess there is no need for those visits. Honestly I regret choosing this provider. Don't make the same mistake. I have lasting side effects that are expected but to be treated this way is unacceptable especially after over $500,000 in claims. He made his money and has moved on. I will be stopping all of my care through St Luke's because of this and choosing a renowned cancer center that can treat the whole person not just the cancer
