She always felt disconnected and never really walked the journey with us. It was always like she was being timed when she walked in the room, like an assembly line. Unfortunately, my wife who never wants to “offend” anyone always said to give her a chance, until it was time to come back to MSK when she actually said, “I don’t want to go back to that Doctor . Let’s find someone else” because half way through the cancer journey she actually told the Doctor that she felt like she had given up on her, which is true! We had to look for our own clinical trial because Dr advised that the current treatment at MSK wasn’t working. At least she was kind enough to give us a website to search for trials. SMH!! Any clinician who heard this story was horrified that she didn’t even help us navigate through millions of pages of trials…unbelievable! When I brought this up, she said it was because she didn’t have help at MSK. My 45 year old wife passed away last week. Look for a Dr who cares!!
