Dr. Scott Schoifet, MD

Dr. Schoifet is one of those doctors who think the patient is an idiot. His bedside manner has become terrible. In office visits, he wants to be done with you as quickly as possible, and will not spend more than about 3 minutes with you. He can at times be extremely rude and dismissive (this patient’s experience). His surgical abilities appear to have deteriorated as his experience has grown. They’re now in assembly-line fashion, with the absolute minimum time/care, given to each of his lined-up surgeries. This patient has known him for more than a decade, and remembers him from past years as someone very different. This patient also has a lot of experience with doctors, including those much more experienced and eminent than Dr. Schoifet, and has not had such experiences with them. (This patient also happens to be a world-renowned scientist and owner of two technology companies.) All in all, this patient would no longer recommend Dr. Schoifet to others.
