Dr. Sara Miniaci-Coxhead, MD

Went to her for recommendation for a revision surgery in late summer 2022 for complications from previous lapiplasty surgery done by a different doctor in June 2021. She said my foot was not over corrected and we could do the small thing, which was sesamoidectomy of fibular sesamoid and if it did not make me better, we could fuse the MTP joint. Did surgery on December 7, 2022. I spent the entire next year in increased pain than I had prior to this surgery. Her answer was that it takes a year to heal. I suggested an MRI at 9 months post op. She recommended a 3T MRI. MRI tech said that I could not have a 3T because metal would distort the image. Went to a new doctor in 2023. He said I was over corrected from first surgery . Had him fuse my MTP joint. I continue to have debilitating pain in and at surgery site where she performed surgery. Current doctor is convinced that the nerve is cut or damaged from not protecting it. I cannot use my foot at 50% of a normal person would.
