From the moment he entered the room, my husband and I felt we were treated with hostility rather than respect. When we tried to explain my medical history and the reason for my referral, we were told he didn't want to hear what another physician had said and that only his opinion mattered. Several parts of the physical exam caused significant pain. When I reacted, he said, 'This is pain management, not no pain management.' Throughout the visit, I felt my concerns were dismissed rather than heard. I've seen many specialists over the years, and disagreements in medicine are normal. However, I have never left an appointment feeling as unheard and uncomfortable as I did after this visit. The lack of empathy, unwillingness to listen, and overall aggression was so much so that I no longer trust this physician to perform an invasive procedure.
