One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. She diagnosed me ADHD but then refused to treat me with the first line care. She told me that 'the kids need them more, and if I give them to you then that's taking it away from a kid.' She tried to push non-stimulants first and I told her I wasn't interested in that option, that I had been told by other friends/doctors that they weren't effective and I wanted to try the first line care and she refused. I also told her I had a family history of ADHD and stimulants worked well for my brother and she didn't care. Completely refused to listen, judged me, and refused to treat me unless I tried the inferior medication for months.
