Dr. Ross Sage, MD

Dr.Sage performed a colonoscopy on me in August of 2025 and a year later I am still suffering from complications. I called his office spoke to the Nurse who confirmed what he told me when I woke up from anesthesia. That he had placed a metal Staple inside my colon! I thought I dreamed that! But after being handed a TSA card and her confirming it 7 weeks later, I know it did happen. I told her that I hoped I didn’t get gangrene. A month later I call back still having issues. I asked for him to call me…no call yet and it’s been a year. My Internist was shocked when I told her about the metal staple she referred me to a new Gastro Dr. she was shocked as well because Dr. Sage made no notes in my chart that he used a metal staple! I guess as his nurse mentioned I will wait until it disintegrates or falls out. My Logic Screams “How can this be a sterile, healthy protocol”?
