Dr. Robert Pride, MD

Only two days out of my cancer diagnosis my visit with R. Pride. Within the first 12 seconds of meeting him, he told me that my stage zero cancer diagnosis would require a mastectomy with lymph node removal and probably a second mastectomy following information during the surgery. He illustrated boobs on my notes to explain to me that the reconstruction could include skin from below my navel. I asked if another doctor would share his opinion, he laughed and said great question. He said it was standard of care. He told me I had bilateral lymph node activity and warned that I could lose both breasts and possibly be looking at radiation therapy. As it turns out, I am stage zero and other surgeons recommended waiting to see if the hormone therapy I used had created an alarming scene on the MRI. I had a follow up MRI a week ago and the area of calcifications regressed 28%. He didn't ask if I'd had vaccinations in the last few weeks; my lymph node activity was normal, no C in lymph nodes.
