Dr. Robert Benigar, MD

I came to be a patient of Dr. Benigar during an incredibly dark time in my life. My dad had just passed away and I was finishing up my last few sessions of ECT (electro convulsive therapy). Dr. Benigar was genuinely interested in my story, what I was struggling with, and how to get me the best treatment possible. He actually listened to me and asked questions that other doctors never did. He listened to my opinion when it came to the long list of medications I had tried and any other therapies that I felt worked and those I felt didn’t. It took a while to find the right combination of meds but we did because he truly listened to what I had to say and what I believed was best for me. After years of doctors treating me like just another problem that needed solving, Dr. Benigar made sure I felt heard and that my ideas and my concerns were valid. It took a while but ultimately we figured out what direction to go when it came to my treatment. This doctor saved my life. Dr. Benigar deserves more than just 5 stars. He deserves the whole freakin’ sky!
