He ultimately gave me the confidence to have a left temporal craniotomy and resection of the tumor hoping for a positive outcome and the pathology ultimately confirmed it was a grade 1 glioma – BENIGN.A heartfelt significance was Dr.Yong’s NP, Johanna Valiquette, who was introduced as a key point of contact at the onset and valued as a critical and continual source of support.Dr. Yong also practiced a multidisciplinary approach by collaborating with teams of anesthesiologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, pathologists, and specialized neurocritical care nursing staff all performing life-saving work. Lastly was the postoperative care at the Neuro ICU provided by a team of exceptional nursing staff committed to the highest level of care for my recovery.
