Very disappointing experience with Dr. Manzano’s practice. My wife was told by staff that her follow-up after blood work could be virtual and would have no charge. She completed the appointment virtually, yet the office submitted a $276 office-visit claim to insurance.When questioned, the office claimed she was seen in person and that the visit was beyond a simple follow-up. That is false. She had a full work schedule in Phoenix that day and could not have traveled to Mesa. Her phone records confirm a 5-minute call for the virtual appointment.The office acknowledged an employee had promised the visit would be free and said the employee would be reprimanded, but still refused to honor what we were told. After more than a dozen calls over several months, we still have no resolution. Based on this experience, I strongly caution others to carefully verify billing and promises made by staff.
