My husband develop uti 5 days after the procedure. For pain was told to take ibuprofen. If no relief get otc azo. 2 days no pain relief ordered urine test. Ordered antibiotic and pain meds with some relief. 4 weeks later pain again. Another urine test. Positive for bacteria again. New antibiotic ordered. Some blood noted in urine. Meds prostate stop. Still with some pain urination and pain lower back. Urine test ordered. Called for result. After 4 days we found out didn't send urine for culture but just dipstick. Still with urine pain and pain lower back. The procedure room has lots of catheter soaking in solution. The catheter use was already setup for the procedure. Not seen unpacking from a sterilized package. Frustrated.
