Dr. Nina Seigelstein, MD

Unfortunately, my last appointment was the most invalidated I have felt by a physician in years. I saw Dr. Siegelstein for surgery to treat endometriosis 3 years ago, and it was a fine recovery. Due to recurrence, I saw her again for an opinion on how to proceed. The appointment started with her asking me what I wanted her to do, followed by her expressing disinterest in doing surgery and telling me it would only get worse and more painful the more we did surgery. While listing my numerous symptoms, she discounted each and said they had no relation to Endometriosis (she was incorrect). Because there are no other adequate treatments available, surgery would be the only option, so she said she would do it if I wanted her to (months later), but she repeated that she thought I should sit it out until my pain was more debilitating. After seeing another surgeon, I was told and agreed that she was inept in her advice and lacked empathy in any manner. Would not recommend her for this issue.
