Patient Reviews

I checked myself into the emergency room for suicidal ideations. At one point, she told me if I could get ahold of a family member who could be trusted to keep an eye on me she would consider not pink slipping me. I gave her my mom‘s phone number and she told me that she tried to call her multiple times, but she never answered. I found out later on from my mom that she never received any calls from anyone during that time. She even showed me her call log and there was nothing. I figured at that point, I was going to be pink slipped no matter what, but I was crying and tried to give her another family member’s number to reach out to. But instead, she literally rolled her eyes at me and said “I think you’re in the regretting phase of asking for help”. When you get a doctor who lies and rolls their eyes at you, I would have to admit, yes, I did regret asking for help. Doctors like this are why people don’t seek mental health care during a psychiatric emergency. Wildly unprofessional.
