Having Dr. Cowan as my kidney transplant surgeon was the best I could have wished for. He educated me and answered all my last minute questions before they took my back for surgery. I got my kidney in Sept 2020 during the height of the pandemic and felt very safe with Dr. Cowan and the rest of the staff at VM. After surgery Dr. Cowan came by every day until I was discharged to make sure I was looking well and the kidney was waking up. The kidney was a little picky for a few months after transplant, but Dr. Cowan and the rest of the nephrologist were so great with trouble shooting my case and working together to find a treatment of medications and treatments that helped the kidney get to where it needed to be.His incision is also the cleanest I've ever seen, my scar looks amazing. Dr. Cowan, Dr. Khur, and Dr. B are all great surgeons, and you are in great hands with any of them.Always so thankful I came to VM for my nephrology and kidney disease.
