I maintained primary care with Mubeen Khan for 1 year. During that time I had chronic pain, abnormal labs, and symptoms she sometimes acknowledged or often times dismissed. Looking back I wish I challenged her more, she often would say some labs are normal and use that as defense to not exploring more. Well a year and half after Mubeen Khan, the same diagnosis she recommended against was exactly what I had. Endometriosis and a blood disorder. That she could have caught earlier with competent care and accurate testing and medical review. I felt because I was young she brushed me off. Her bedside manner is also just sometimes good. Honestly, I wish I advocated more for myself with her. She’s a doctor but she’s not you, advocate for your body and needs… She’s an okay provider but I would never recommend. My conditions could have been caught much earlier. I’m not happy with the care I received from her and don’t think I’d ever go back.
