Dr. Michael Neuwirth, MD

Dr. Michael Neuwirth performed a spinal fusion on my back. He verbally "guaranteed" I'd be back on the slopes in 6 weeks. I was 53. The 11 hour operation was a failure. I had to have Dr. Girardi HHS do a revision but could not correct the Neuwirth failure. I have permanent drop foot in both feet, massive atrophy in both legs and cannot walk without a cane. It was a failure and yet he would not take responsibility. He merely said, "see a neurologist", who said i now suffer from "failed back surgery syndrome". A surgeon friend of Neuwirth's said, Neuwirth surgeries often need revision surgery. Marginalized the quality of my life. It was a failure.

Had 2 back surgeries by Dr. NEUWIRTH. Would fly back to NY, if I needed another. No one is better.

he operated on my back in 1996 , cleaned out an infection, did spinal fusion on L5 S1 and told me after about 10 years the disk above or below will get weak. i got 17 years out of it before it started giving me trouble. i highly recommend Dr Neuwirth. I also, believe he operated on Gloria Estefan .
