For several years, I have been a patient of Dr. Engelbert. He is a doctor who deeply cares about his patients' eye health as well as overall health. He has an undeniable warmth and charm, and has proven to me that he will go the extra mile to answer questions and give necessary recommendations. I always arrive with tension, especially since I know that I am going to have to take that brutal vision field test. For me, that is 'the' worst eye exam that I have ever taken. Actually, in the past, I have been unfortunate to experience lack of sleep the night before that test. I am fine with all the others, but not that one. While staring at tiny dots, I am usually so stressed with ensuring that I will not generate any false positives nor false negatives. Thankfully, it has been many years since I've heard those harrowing words--'sorry, I am going to have to reschedule you to retake this test.' Thank God, through changes in vision, I am so blessed to have an ophthalmologist who cares.
