Dr. Mica Glaun, MD

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mica Glaun and the care she provided to my 90-year-old father during his recent skin cancer surgery. I had never met Dr. Glaun before Dad’s pre-op appointment, and I was extremely apprehensive about him undergoing surgery at his age. Within minutes of meeting her, so much of that anxiety disappeared. She introduced herself, explained exactly what she would be doing, and spoke to both my dad and me with professionalism, respect, and compassion. There was something about her calm confidence and direct manner that immediately made me feel like my dad was about to receive the best care possible. And he did. His surgery went better than I ever could have imagined. As a daughter, there is an enormous amount of trust involved in placing your elderly parent in someone else’s hands, and I am incredibly grateful those hands belonged to Dr. Glaun. Her staff deserves a shout-out as well. Everyone we encountered was kind, attentive, patient, and genuinel

After thorough examinations, she gives you a detailed explanation of what’s wrong and how she’ll approach the surgical problem. During the follow up care She personally made other appointments for her with physicians. She wanted as part of the team. She would reach them in person and explain everything that she wanted them to know. While my wife has been the patient, I am the husband, I happen to be an physicianand I have never met anyone in my career that is this thorough and caring and follows up on everything. A rare combination, especially these days!
