Dr. Marianne Pinkston, MD

I have read many reviews before commenting. I suppose it is reasonable to comment on wait times, insurance issues, and staff issues as one would like to know the lay of the land when choosing a medical provider. Some of these topics are within a providers control and some much less so. That said, one should really rate their health care provider by the care they are given and the health status improvements that their doctor can make when they partner together with you. I have found Dr. Pinkston to be very knowledgeable and very focused on prevention. There are "traditionally" trained practicioners that focus on lab values and the like to treat symptoms, and then there are Functional and Integrative providers that look for the root cause rather than just the symptoms. More than your average physician, Dr. Pinkston keeps current with her trade and with new technology to better analysis my health risks. God has given me one life and one body to live it in. Regardless of what a third party insurer thinks should be covered, it is my responsibility to steward my financial resources to maximize the gift of health I've been given. I choose her practice over alternatives like WelMed because Dr. Pinkston has helped me do that and I am very grateful for her skills. I may wait a bit longer for her services occasionally. I may not be prescribed the least expensive treatment, ie a generic one that may just move a surrogate marker like LDL but may not actually maximize my health and wellness. I am thankful that I was offered alternatives to choose from with all the information I needed to make the best decision for my health.
