911 please!!! If you or your loved one have anything rendering post concussive symptoms. This neurologist is NOT the one who will guide you through the rough journey ahead. Do not fall victim to the same video that I watched. He will not listen to you, he will go off of colleagues notes, ( who is obviously no longer your doctor for a reason )which is the very least of your concern ! He may EXCELL in Lots of areas , however he has not educated himself about what happens within our brains when they take the devastation of stroke, or TBI or other brain damage. He will minimize What you are saying , likely not understanding that even four and a half years later, words can be hard, and tell you that it's not even physically possible. He brought me " fact sheets" from an internet search, comparing my condition which would have been healed years ago per him, with injuries football rugby or soccer players get from head butting the ball. My impact with a semi at 70 MPH was more and has lifelong changing repercussions, then what he called my slight bonk on the head. He's one of those guys who would send you home from the emergency room after splitting your brain open. Saying you're going to be okay and not informing you that you will never ever be the human you once were before. Nor how hard it will seemingly forever be to navigate this new person in your skin. Turns out that my feelings of massive steps backwards in recovery are due to a separate life threatening condition in which my damaged brain from bumping it on a semi at 70 miles per hour is NOT GETTING ENOUGH OXYGEN! He is ignorant to what stroke and head injury do. Find someone else or risk his arrogance costing life!

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
