I was hopeful going into my appointment, but unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed and talked down to. While the physician may be knowledgeable, their communication style came across as condescending. Instead of listening to my concerns and addressing them collaboratively, they interrupted frequently and used a tone that made me feel like my questions were unwelcome or naive. As a patient, I believe it’s important to feel heard and respected—especially when discussing your health. Clear explanations and guidance are appreciated, but it’s equally important that they’re delivered with empathy and mutual respect. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as bedside manner is just as crucial as clinical expertise.
