My loved one received imaging results over the weekend that warranted, minimally, a conversation and a plan of action. When we called the on-call physician to discuss getting STAT follow-up imaging ordered, we were told just to call the office on Monday. Very little concern was shown for the seriousness of the situation. We didn’t hear from Dr. Farber until after my loved one’s surgery was performed exactly 12 hours after seeing a specialist at another facility that we pleaded with to see us. To add insult to injury, the office did not have the requested medical records prepared when I came to get them today. I requested them over the phone with the office staff, again via our UC nurse liaison at the Gardner Institute, and again with Karen, the case manager.
