I have never had a doctor speak to me this way before. Dr Stahl consistently cut me off, interrupted me, told me my plan should be to drink more water, exercise, and eat more because I'm a 'petite young woman.' He also told me this 'episode' and all the symptoms afterwards were migraine but also a 'manifestation based off of fear.' He also said he's had patients who have 'had way worse migraines.' He spoke to me like he already knew the issue, my symptoms, and who I was as a person, as if he already made up his mind and could predict what I'd say and how I've taken care of myself. Whenever I'd interject to correct how I do take care of myself, how I've lived with migraines for decades, and how this incident was very, very different, he'd either quickly interrupt and just say migraine over and over again or tell me to take it up with my local nurse practitioner neurologist and basically didn't want me to come back to see him.

Board Certifications
What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
