I saw Dr. Aljammal two years ago for a thyroid nodule that had been growing for years. At my first appointment, he came across as pretty harsh and dismissive, which made me uncomfortable. When I went back for the biopsy, though, he was kind and thoughtful, total 180, which made me feel better about continuing with him.Unfortunately, when my results came back, the tone shifted again. He was pretty rude when explaining the diagnosis, and when my dad asked questions, he snapped at him. It just made an already stressful situation feel worse.He recommended radiofrequency ablation, which didn’t sit right with me given how large my nodule was. I ended up getting a second opinion from another endocrinologist who was much more compassionate and thorough. I ultimately had a full thyroidectomy, and they told me that RFA wouldn’t have addressed the underlying issue with my thyroid.Overall, I just wish the communication had been more consis
