I felt like she wasn't even interested what I was saying and several times she was argumentative. She has a heavy middle eastern accident, so I asked her where she was from(just wanting to Welcome her) she quickly was upset and raised her voice and said I'm an American. I explained to her why I ask but she was upset and got the attention of several of the other nurses there. She took a harmless friendly conversation and turned into a hostile and extremely not so welcoming visit. I left there feeling like because I was a white male that I was instantly the enemy. I do hope she can open up a little and understand that most of us patients are just friendly and looking for a friendly conversation with their doctors.
