Dr. Joli Chou, DMD

I was referred to Dr. Chou as being one of the best TMJ surgeons in the country, as I need a very complex surgical plan. Upon arriving, the first thing Dr. Chou said to me was, 'Well what are you doing here? What do you want me to do for you?', and I was very taken back by that, which caused me to clam up and stumble over my words for the rest of the appointment, which just caused her attitude to get worse. What do you mean, 'What are you here for?'? My chart had very detailed notes from the two previous maxillofacial surgeons that I had seen, with x-rays, etc. It was clear that she never once glanced at my chart before seeing me. She basically told me, in a nutshell, that I was silly for coming to see her now because there's nothing she can do for me until I get orthodontic work done first. How would I know that? She was so awful that I started to cry at one point because I was so confused, and she again, took that opportunity to be even more patronizing. I cannot recommend this Dr.
