Dr. Jeffrey Tomaszewski, MD

THE ABSENT UROLOGIST Before leaving Connecticut, my urologist, who was available, attentive, informative, understanding, and performed all my medical procedures, recommended a urologist at Cooper Medical named Dr. Jeffery Tomaszewski. I had three appointments with him. The first appointment was last year for an initial interview. The next was scheduled with him for a cystoscopy. However, a surrogate doctor performed the procedure with no explanation as to why my regular urologist was not available. The most recent cystoscopy was performed by a young medical assistant who performed a very uncomfortable cystoscopy. When completed, the assistant went to Dr. Tomaszewski’s office and returned to say that I no longer needed cystoscopies. It did not seem to matter that I specifically made both cystoscopy appointments with Dr. Tomaszewski and not surrogates. The dismissive arrogance of the urologist to pass me off twice indicates an indifference for patients. I think he had forgotten the Hippocratic Oath when he became a doctor. Jack Lardis
