Absolutely unacceptable experience @ Tampa Bay Pulmonary Medicine.After waiting 2 weeks for an appt, completing extensive intake paperwork, driving 30 minutes & struggling to find parking, I arrived for my scheduled appt only to be told it had been cancelled because they do not accept my insurance.The problem: no one actually informed me.No voicemail. No text. Nothing.Instead of acknowledging the possibility of an ofc communication failure, staff repeatedly insisted their system “showed” I had been called & continued speaking to me as though I simply failed to understand how to use a phone. They even referenced alleged prior conversations that never happened. The entire interaction felt dismissive, defensive & deeply unprofessional, especially in front of a crowded waiting room.Patients seeking pulmonary & sleep care are already exhausted & dealing w/significant health issues. Wasting a patient’s time, gas, energy & emotional bandwidth is unacceptable.
