I had the worst experience I have ever had in medicine and both me and my husband are physicians! Ellet was incredibly condescending from the moment he walked in the room to my mother. He spent more time talking about how busy he is then actually explaining treatment plan or why he was altering the plan so drastically. You could tell he was not familiar with her case and just wanted to go home and not do work. It was very clear he was altering the plan not because he was doing it in best interest of my mother but because he wanted to go home. She had been waiting in the hospital for going on 72 hours to get a colonoscopy just for him to come and say he was not going to do it because it was not urgent enough. When we asked for explanation he responds by talking about being busy and talking badly about the locum provider, who by the way did a very good job caring for my mother. frankly from his bedside manner alone lets me know he does not truly care about patients and they are just another number to him. The nurses and staff who observed this interaction apologized profusely. However I am saddened about the number of patients who are likely being negatively impacted by his subpar care.
