I was a patient of Dr. Schnakenberg's for over 20 years. I had often found him dismissive and lacking in listening and attention skills. But I stuck with him because he knew me. However I recently recommended to my wife to use his practice. She was treated horribly and left to suffer for months with a debilitating condition, finally needing to seek treatment and surgery elsewhere because they would not take her seriously, messed up her prescriptions multiple times, and reacted defensively when she brought up her concerns. I brought my concerns up to Dr. Schnakenberg and he was completely dismissive and refused to investigate or engage any further. Both my wife and I have left and found other primary care providers.
