I had her as my triage OB during my last pregnancy. I was 39 weeks and went to get checked. Everything was good for me and baby yet after a nurse checked me, Dr Winston said I was in active labor based solely on my dilation. She wanted to admit and induce me “since I was pretty much there.” (I confirmed with my normal OB 3 days later that active labor is based on several things, not just subjective dilation as I had also believed.) Dr Wilson didn’t listen to any wants of mine (low medical interventions) and pushed to admit me despite me saying I didn’t want induction as long as baby was good (which it was). She ended up making me sign AMA papers. Three days later at my scheduled OB appt, AMA papers weren’t filed and everything she had pushed back against me for my wants/concerns/questions weren’t even documented. How do you force someone to sign AMA papers and then not even file them (it’s when you’re in the full wrong). Thus was Riverview Hospital.
