My wife and I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Brown. At one of our final prenatal appointments, Dr. Brown measured my wife's belly using a fundal height measurement and told us that the baby was "regressing" and that we needed an induction ASAP. Naturally, we were alarmed and asked if we could first get an ultrasound to confirm what she was seeing. She told us there was "no time" for an ultrasound. When we asked if our baby was okay, her response was, "Yeah, but why wait? I'd rather be safe than sorry." Hearing that from our doctor terrified us. She then pressured us to schedule an induction for the following morning at 6:00 a.m. We left the appointment believing something could be seriously wrong with our baby. Because we weren't comfortable proceeding with an induction based solely on a fundal height measurement, especially since my wife wasn't experiencing any concerning symptoms, we sought a private ultrasound ourselves.
