I had a dupuytrens contracture surgery during covid. I've seen photos of the operation and aftermath and a z-plasty is usually done to minimize scarring and help keep hand flexibility. I had a straight incision from mid hand to up my pinky. It did scar considerably. I have a buttoniers deformity now with some recurring dupuytrens tissue. My hand will not go in my pocket. All in all I cannot say this went well and am looking for how to fix this eventually. Regrettably I've been using a cane since the end of 2024 and cannot take my right hand out of commission just yet. Fixing this would take that...
