How likely are you to recommend Dr. Nakadate?
He works one day/week and you may get 5 min. with him (my guess is he is semi-retired). For minor foot fractures, he might be just fine and he is a nice enough person. However, in my case, he failed terribly. My larger fracture that got bigger by week 6. He never noticed. By week 13 it was barely healing yet he said I could start coming out of the boot and using normal shoes and it might be healed in 18 weeks. I was also in the incorrect boot by type of break and although he didn't issue the boot, he didn't notice nor did he correct it and thus likely leading to my break getting bigger. Thank goodness I got a second opinion, had surgery, etc. but it didn't need to be that way and go on for so so long. I also saw him for two broken toes and by his last review, he mis-identified the toes and angle of the break. He's not paying attention from one appointment to the next; saying different things from one appt to the next.
