How likely are you to recommend Dr. Aboulafia?
This doctor ignored my physical symptoms and pathologized them into anxiety. He asked me about my symptoms and then interrupted me after 2 minutes and asked me what I thought I had. He then proceeded to tell me I was wrong and I was fine and he didn’t know why I was there. I yelled at him because he was being dismissive and gaslighting me. He then conceded to “do his due diligence” and order some tests. Then he honed in on an anxiety diagnosis and asked me how my anxiety was. I told him that it had never been better and I wasn’t having much. According to him, all the physical symptoms I was having didn’t mean anything. The most concerning of which is horrible bone pain that has been traveling from one long bone to the next for months! He ignored what I reported to him and wrote a letter to all my current and past providers telling them that I thought I had cancer because of my anxiety and I really just needed to lose weight, get some therapy and get tested for sleep apnea.
