I brought my 3 month old son to have his testicles looked at. My son is uncircumcised and he began pulling back his foreskin. I asked him to stop as at this age the foreskin is adhered and you can cause pain and tearing that can lead to scar tissue/ adhesions. It was also not relevant to why we were there. He immediately asked what I did for work and told me to leave “the doctoring to him”. While I’m currently an SAHM, I’m also an RN. He was condescending and belittling. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed to start pulling back my son’s foreskin regularly when he’s about two years of age, which is not evidence based practice and can cause long-term damage and pain to the child. He is not up-to-date with how to take care of an uncircumcised child.
