When I was looking for a hernia surgeon, I wanted someone with extensive experience, exceptional technical skill, and sound judgment. Dr. Juergens met all of my expectations — and exceeded them.During my laparoscopic bilateral hernia surgery at Mercy Fairfield in June 2026, several members of the support staff independently spoke very highly of Dr. Juergens. Their unsolicited praise reflected the respect he has earned over decades of caring for patients. One staff member described him as 'tougher than Tarzan's feet,' a colorful way of expressing his diligence and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.Beyond his obvious expertise, Dr. Juergens is approachable, humble, and genuinely interested in his patients' concerns. He welcomed my questions, took the time to engage in thoughtful discussion, and made sure I understood my options and what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Juergens to anyone seeking an experienced, skilled, and compassionate hernia/general surgeon.
