I was referred to Dr. Harmon by my dermatologist for Mohs surgery for a small basal cell carcinoma. Before the procedure, I received very little information about what to expect regarding wound care, healing, or supplies needed afterward.The day of surgery, the office was running extremely behind. I waited almost two hours in the waiting room before even being taken back, and then the process still felt very rushed once I was in the procedure room.Most of the post-op instructions were given to my husband while I was recovering, and some of the verbal instructions conflicted with the written instructions we received.I was very surprised by the size of the incision after surgery, especially since the original area was small and only one Mohs pass was needed. Unfortunately, the area left significant scarring that later required treatment by a plastic surgeon to lessen the appearance. While the cancer removal may have been successful, I was disappointed with the overall experience.
