Very bad bedside manner. My primary referred me to Dr. Fosso with concerns of drenching night sweats and enlarged hard lymph nodes lasting a few months. I felt extremely dismissed by her. I expressed my concerns and she could not give me answers. She actually said “well you’re quite thin, so maybe that’s why you can feel them”. New lump on one of my arms and she said “this area might be just more prominent”, when I explained it was something new. New enlarged lymph node on my underarm found on CT she ordered which I had to ask her about and she was not concerned bc it was technically 1mm under “enlarged”. I asked for an explanation for my night sweats. She said probably perimenopause. I’m 41 and I had to remind her to look at my blood work bc my primary care physician already checked my hormone levels which were normal. It was shocking that a Dr. in the field of such a sensitive area would be so dismissive and insensitive. Staff and nurse are very friendly.

What’s a board certification and why is it important that my provider has one?

A board certification represents a provider’s dedication to ongoing training in one or more specialties, including the completion of intensive exams. While not all specialties have board certifications, if your provider does have one they’ve taken the extra step to master their specialty and to keep up with the latest advancements in their field.
