Dr. Charles Lerner, MD

I made an appointment at Dr. Lerner's office, which is called a Primary Care Clinic, to get established with a new PCP and had to wait 4 months for the initial appointment. Dr. Lerner spent no more than 90 seconds with me, and made it quite clear within the first minute that he thinks he is too important and specialized to be seeing patients for primary care purposes. He dismissed a medical concern before allowing me to fully explain why I was concerned and did not ask any questions regarding my personal of family medical history, when the issue began, any life changes around that time or how it was before versus after. He did not do any examination nor did he offer any suggestions on how we could rule out any issues. Instead, he told me he knew it was normal because he was a heart specialist, even though I made it clear the issue was abnormal for me. Additionally, he completely ignored an acute illness I told him I had and made a snide remark about a former healthcare provider at that same facility, making it clear just how precious he thinks he and his time is. I have never had a physician demonstrate such a clear lack of care or concern for me as a patient. The staff was wonderful and I truly hope he doesn't treat them the way he did me or it would be a miserable place to work. Please find yourself another physician and avoid Dr. Lerner.
