Dr. Chandra Sekhar Chilappa, MD

Dr Chilappa was able to diagnose me when no one else could figure out what is going on with me. He's super friendly and knowledgeable.

He listens well. He always helps when I'm in pain.

I went to Dr.Chilappa for fibromyalgia management.He answered a phone call from his daughter 5 minutes in and told me she was applying to law school, how is that an emergency? I thought that was unprofessional. He came off as aggressive to me a few times and has unrealistic expectations, he told me I need to have absolutely no stress in my life and that’s impossible. He also does not seem to fully understand the amount of pain fibromyalgia causes and is unable to fully empathize. I do not feel like he’s right for me and will not be continuing care with him or recommend him to anyone.

He was very knowledgeable with my son's gout. He explained everything about it and sat and got all the information he could with my son's medical history. We recommend Dr. Chilappa and staff.

Dr. Chilappa has abandonedmy mother as a patient and left her dependent on medication and will not refill her prescriptions. He moved offices without telling my mother. She couldn’t get a hold of him or his nurse and went to his office and he had MOVED and the nurse said she didn’t know where. My mom then proceeded to go to her PCP and her PCP referred her to a new rheumatologist office. My mother called and made the appointment and believe it or not it’s the office where Dr.Chilappa moved to. Well for two months now they will not schedule my mother an appointment because he’s not accepting her insurance at this time. But he accepted it before. They keep telling her next month. Well what about the several prescriptions she needs refilled? What is she supposed to do? Without these medications she will not be able to function doing basic daily activities. This is unbelievable. No one will help her. He abandoned her and it’s extremely unprofessional and upsetting. I do not recommend him
