Dr. Carl Nath, MD

Truly the worst experience of my life. Would highly recommend staying away from him. I had a positive NIPT for T21 but from my understanding from multiple other drs it was a pretty low percentage. Then i had my NT scan with another Dr in the practice and everything was measuring perfectly normal. My husband and I opted for an amniocentesis and we got Dr. Nath. The tech who did my ultrasound was amazing told us all of our measurements were great and measuring on time. He came in without even introducing himself or doing my ultrasound BEYOND condescending telling us our baby definitely has Down syndrome and we asked him what made him think that and he said the heart looks like VSD “in some pictures but it could just be the picture” So then he tried doing the ultrasound to get a better look but the baby was flipped over so he couldn’t see the heart and quickly just gave up. He kept asking if we were sure we wanted to do the amino because the miscarriage rate is pretty high and I could “probably” miscarry. (We think he just didn’t want to do the procedure and probably wanted to go home for the day.) After the aminocentsis was done he must’ve realized he was being condescending because then he back tracked stating “it’s not my diagnosis we’ll see what the results say when they come back.” After saying multiple times that the baby definitely has Down syndrome. He was also extremely rude to his staff who was helping him perform the procedure. He made our pregnancy experience HORRIBLE and left us with little to no hope. I also received his office note and in the note it states he reviewed all of these things with me that he didn’t even mention once instead he was just complaining about how he pulled a muscle in his back. I wouldn’t recommend him to anybody.
