I regret to say that my loved one’s experience with Dr. Pickens and his staff was extremely disappointing. My loved one was dealing with a very serious and frightening diagnosis, which required timely attention and care. Unfortunately, Dr. Pickens demonstrated a lack of urgency and professionalism throughout the process. Despite the critical nature of the situation, it took an unreasonably long time to get a procedure scheduled that he alleged needed to be done asap. I traveled from multiple states away, to be with them and help take care of them during this time and for recovery. Multiple calls were made to his office, but they never returned. The lack of communication and follow-through left my family feeling abandoned and helpless during an already stressful time. It was disheartening to witness such negligence from a medical professional and his team. Serious medical conditions require not only expertise but also compassion and responsiveness, both of which were severely lacking in this case. I cannot in good conscience recommend Dr. Pickens to anyone seeking professional and timely medical care.
